THE SUSHI CLUB
SUSHIDELIC
Elektrolux/DM/CD
Tomio Tremmel's debut album, "Sushidelic"
is a delicious palate of sounds for the downtempo,
funk, and jazz afficianado. With each of the
thirteen tracks charmingly named after a real
culinary dish (with the English translations added
where appropriate), let your ears dig into a bowl
of "Miso Soup", savor the simmering sounds of
"Fish'n'Fruits" and finish up with "Peanut Cookies".
Reminiscent at times of the more moody and
contemplative Yellow Magic Orchestra, "Sushidelic"
is a tempting audio treat. Andrew Duke
