TITONTON DUVANTE VOYEURISM (REMIXES) Starbaby/US-FR/EP This 4 track EP presents remixes of two cuts from Titonton Duvante's debut solo album, Voyeurism. Up first are France's Stefan Manceau, Christophe Bouthe, and Jymmy Dark getting together to work magic on Duvante's "Inuendo", transforming it into an elegant piece of listening-oriented electro by adding strings and airy pads and giving it room to breathe. Owner of the British Pure Plastic label, Mark Broom, works with Dave Hill as Rue East to remix "Inuendo" in a completely different direction-sounding like a Jeff Mills loop, they strip it down to nothing but a dry kick and some bare 727 percussion. Their remix of Boudoir is similar in presentation, but much busier and uses more instrumentation including a one bar bassline and revolving synths. Also included is the original version of Duvante's "Boudoir" with its thick midrange, jackin' percussion, and deep bass action that brings to mind Chicago's R. Armani more so than Titonton D.
